A Google spokesperson told the site, “We have no evidence that our systems have been compromised, but whenever we become aware that accounts may have been, we take steps to help those users secure their accounts.” However, according to a report on The Next Web Google says that this isn't a security breach of any sort. The news was first reported by a Russian website CNews, and later picked up media across the world. According to news reports, close to 4.93 million Gmail and username passwords were leaked on a Russian bitcoin forum but Google has come out and denied that such an attack took place.
